THE SCIENCE

Globally Patented ‘Na Effect’

The Na Effect was discovered by Dr. Jongju Na through a study he conducted and published in the Natural Journal Group’s Scientific Report on November 5th, 2015. Scientific Reports is a distinguished, open access journal that publishes primary research from a wide variety of natural and clinical sciences. The Na Effect is key to providing the safest and most effective radio frequency skin treatment.

The most important fact about the Na Effect is the result of independent tissue coagulation in the target area around the non-insulated micro-needle electrodes. Previous RF systems utilized insulated micro-needle electrodes which produced limited results because it was only able to deliver RF energy to a narrow area of the dermis. Due to the Na Effect, the BellaFX technique is able to use the Scarlet SRF device to deliver RF energy fully and precisely to the entire targeted area which includes both the epidermis and the dermis.

Controlling Micro-needle Depth

The Scarlet SRF device has an adjustable micro-needle depth which can be precisely calibrated to a depth ranging from 0.5 ~ 3.5mm. This feature enables the device to deliver RF energy both to the epidermis and the 4mm dermis layer. The BellaFX technique utilizes a treatment depth that has been developed by Dr. Anna Guanche as optimal for maximum skin tightening and rejuvenation.

Non-insulated Micro-needle

Previous RF treatments utilized an insulated micro-needle which limited its efficacy in transferring RF energy to the target area. It was only able to transfer energy to the dermis with a narrow area of effect. This caused the treatments to produce little to no results. Any results that showed did not last long. The BellaFX uses the non-insulated micro-needle of the Scarlet SRF device which is inserted at a customized depth. This enables the device to fully deliver precisely controlled RF energy to both the epidermis and dermis with a wider area of effect, producing maximum tightening of the skin and rejuvenation. The micro-needle also ensures that the RF dermal heating is at its most optimal temperature (55°C~60°C) which research has shown as best for coagulation and stimulation of the dermal tissues without causing collagen denaturation. Using a non-insulated micro-needle not only ensures that skin is tightened and rejuvenated, it also safeguards the patient’s comfort. There is little to no pain involved and it does not cause bleeding during treatment. Results for skin tightening in most patients are visible and felt almost immediately.

Non-insulated Micro-needle

Adjustable Micro-needle Depth, More Powerful “Scarlet SRF”
  • Non-insulated Scarlet SRF Micro-needle can deliver RF energy fully and precisely in target area and temperature.
  • Scarlet SRF targeted the most optimal temperature of RF dermal heating without irreversible denaturation which is 55°C~60°C.
